It’s hard to find a couple you absolutely fall in love with that you almost want to extend their wedding just to keep working with them…that was the case with Chelsey and Chris! With a 90 year-old orange grove as their backdrop, Chris and Chelsey had a fun-filled reception after saying their “I Do’s” early last October. Between their cutesy mustache mugs and great stories of their love, it’s understandable why we just can’t get enough of this couple and this wedding reception!
After spending FIFTEEN HOURS together, running around LA on their first date, they knew this was a perfect match. Proposal: While their favorite movie and song played in the background, Chris got down on one knee and was webcasting to all of their close family and friends so they could share in the celebration.
We got to hear from Chelsey to reflect on this special day:
What theme did you want for your wedding and how did you create this theme throughout (where did you get your inspiration)? “I don’t know if this would be considered a theme, but we really just wanted our wedding to be about our guests and to be representative of who we are. We wanted a wedding that showed our guests an amazing time in a true ‘Chris and Chelsey fashion’.”
Their playlist was composed of song requests collected with RSVPs, so every guest got to hear what they wanted. And who knew the Bride, Groom, and their Bridal Party were such amazing dancers?! Hands down, our favorite part of the reception was when the couple broke out into choreographed dance, and their wedding party joined them; such a memorable moment, they were having so much fun and definitely had great dance talent!
Their day was complete with a beautiful dessert bar and late night snack. Chelsey and Chris did not want anyone to leave hungry! How considerate!
What advice would you give couples who are planning their weddings now? “Work with Sanya!! Seriously, we would NOT have had our dream wedding without Sanya. She’s just amazing at her job and has such a good heart. Other than that, I would say, be nice to your vendors and keep an open/flexible mind. Don’t be a bride/groomzilla!!! If you are nice to your vendors, they will truly go above and beyond for you and maybe even give you free stuff! And definitely have an open mind and be flexible because you can’t have every single thing you want and things will go wrong. It’s just fact. Once you realize that, your wedding planning will go more smoothly and will be more fun!”
Congratulations again to this beautiful couple! We wish you the very best in your life and marriage.
