We just celebrated the wedding of Josh and Elaine and couldn’t be more thrilled for these two. Their wedding day was filled with love and lots of laughter. From the purple sparkles to cowboy boots, this unique day fit the couple perfectly. Five years after they met as co-workers, the two were relocated and Josh proposed!
Elaine: “He proposed to me on November 2nd, 2013. He had planned a weekend getaway to Mount Charleston, which included staying at a resort, horseback riding and hiking. Now, both Josh and I aren’t the most athletic people, so when we go on hikes, we usually choose easier trails. If the trail ends up being too rigorous, we would just go as far as we can then turn back around. For this particular hike, Josh kept telling me he wanted to go all the way to the top. I begrudgingly went, huffing and puffing and kinda wondered why he wanted to go all the way to the top. The trail was harder than we thought and the elevation didn’t help with the breathing, lol! But finally, when we got to the top, he got down on one knee and popped the question! I was totally surprised! We immediately made our way down the trail and called our family and friends to tell them the news!” While the couple reside in Nevada, they wanted their wedding to be close to family and friends in Orange County. They both absolutely loved the rustic look (points for Josh for knowing what that is!) and began their search for an outdoor ceremony and reception venue. Lucky for Elaine, her Mother-in-law is craft savvy and helped with all of those cute decoration details!
Elaine: “When we toured Hamilton Oaks as a possible wedding venue, we knew right then and there that this was the perfect place for us! It was already such a naturally stunning venue, I couldn’t wait to see how it would look with everything set up!” What advice would you give to future couples?
Elaine: “The best advice I could give to future couples is to enjoy the planning process, as stressful as it might seem. If you choose the right venue and the right coordinator (such as Hamilton Oaks), it would end up being such a great experience. When the big day comes, enjoy and savor every moment. It’s true what everyone says, the day will go by too fast, so enjoy all the moments throughout the day, such as getting ready with your bridesmaids/groomsmen, spending time with close family, etc. In the end, everything will come together and you will truly get to experience the best day of your life!”
Elaine: “The best thing about working with Hamilton Oaks was that every person we came in contact with was super friendly and outgoing, and it was nice getting replies via emails/phone calls/texts in a such a timely manner. I was a little stressed planning a wedding from out-of-state, but everyone at Hamilton Oaks made it so easy, whether it was setting up appointments to meet with our vendors, or quickly answering any questions or concerns we may have. When our wedding day came, everything went off as smooth as can be. My husband and I were so happy how everything turned out. We kept getting compliments on the venue and how beautiful everything looked, from the flowers to the table decor. Also, our families kept mentioning how professional and courteous every worker was at the venue. My coordinator, Sanya, was wonderful in organizing and running everything as stress-free as possible. Of course, the night went by too fast, and I really wish I could re-live that day again! In the end, both Josh and I had the best day of our lives, and we wouldn’t have changed a single thing!”
Congratulations again to this stunning couple. We can’t get enough of this rustic chic wedding! Thank you for letting Hamilton Oaks Events be a part of this special day.
